Born of the New York City streets, Bobby Kane has been surrounded by music all his life. He would jump at the chance to play his aunt's piano or the one at his parent's church. He would take any chance offered to play around with his uncle's guitar. "I would listen to my mother sing around the house and mimic the sound or even harmonize with her from another room." It was what created the monster we've all come to know and love.

I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what is traditionally considered “pyrographic art,” using the medium to render themes that are unusual for the art form, and constantly testing and improving my skills and techniques. Also, fire.

I started taking pictures of people in jr high when I had friends and stuff. And, of course, because of the women. Well, ya know, what are ya gonna do. Well it started out with faces, and slowly progressed until I found myself photographing a topless Darth maul female on a rooftop in Brooklyn. It was a distinct highlight of my life.
